Case 05 · First-time exotic buyer / education-led
2023 Lamborghini Huracán STO
The situation
A financially ready buyer had never purchased an exotic. Online listings looked polished; they needed someone to translate risk — track use, tire age, fluid intervals, and what a clean STO actually looks like on a lift — before wiring a deposit.
What we did
- Day 0–2 — Education brief
Walked through ownership costs, inspection priorities, and red flags unique to track-capable cars. Built a go / no-go checklist together.
- Day 3–6 — Shortlist of three
Presented three candidates with side-by-side mileage, option, and history notes. Eliminated one immediately for incomplete service documentation.
- Day 7–9 — Deep dive on finalist
Full PPI, tire date codes, brake measurements, and cold-start video. Buyer reviewed the report before any funds left escrow-style holding.
- Day 10–12 — Close & onboard
Purchase completed. Delivery included a handover checklist: warranty contacts, recommended first service, and insurance documentation tips.
Credibility checks completed
- Written go / no-go criteria before shopping
- Comparative shortlist — not a single-pressure pitch
- Independent PPI with buyer-facing explanation
- Post-delivery ownership onboarding
