The Lamborghini Revuelto brings together a V12, electric propulsion and a dual-clutch gearbox in a single tightly organized package. A useful buyer’s guide begins with how those pieces connect. Once the architecture is clear, it becomes easier to ask informed questions about an individual car’s condition, equipment and suitability for a particular garage or driving routine.

Three electric motors with different jobs

Lamborghini’s original presentation describes two axial-flux electric motors at the front and a third, radial-flux motor above the gearbox. The combustion engine is a naturally aspirated V12, while the transmission is an eight-speed dual-clutch unit. The combined output is quoted at 1,015 cv (about 1,001 hp). This arrangement appears in Lamborghini’s original Revuelto technical announcement.

Motor location matters because the word hybrid alone says little about a car’s layout. Here, electric components have roles across both ends of the vehicle. When comparing the Revuelto with another exotic, sketch the engine, gearbox and motors on a simple diagram. It is a more revealing exercise than putting total power figures in a ranked list.

Packaging shaped the drivetrain

The Revuelto brochure explains that the V12 was rotated 180 degrees compared with the preceding installation and that the gearbox sits transversely behind it. It also describes changes to the engine’s combustion, intake, exhaust and lubrication-related systems. Read Lamborghini’s official Revuelto brochure for the engineering context.

This is a reason to evaluate the Revuelto on its own terms. Experience with an earlier Lamborghini can provide useful perspective, but its operating habits and inspection checklist should not automatically transfer to a different architecture. Ask the service team which procedures and documentation apply to the exact vehicle under consideration.

Keep published performance claims in context

Lamborghini’s model specifications list 6,498.5 cc of displacement, a combined 747 kW and a claimed 0–100 km/h time of 2.5 seconds. Those are manufacturer figures; 0–100 km/h is approximately 0–62 mph and should not be silently relabeled 0–60 mph. The official Revuelto model page identifies the measurements.

For normal US-road evaluation, focus on behaviors you can safely observe: low-speed control, visibility, braking feel and the ease of managing the car in a confined space. Performance capability belongs on an appropriate closed course with suitable instruction and preparation. There is no need to reproduce a launch claim to decide whether the driving position works for you.

Inspect the hybrid system as a complete system

Request a specialist inspection that includes diagnostic checks, a charging demonstration and a review of service records. Ask what battery-condition information is available through approved diagnostic equipment. Confirm which charging accessories belong with the car and have the technician explain storage instructions. Record answers in writing so another workshop can follow the same baseline later.

Also measure the garage and the route into it. Include space for opening the doors, walking around the vehicle and handling a cable without placing it across a traffic path. If the car will be transported, obtain an equipment and loading plan from the carrier appropriate to the actual vehicle. Small logistical details are easier to solve before delivery.

Match the specification to ownership

Check seats, visibility aids and interior controls against the build record, then try them yourself. A striking specification is more satisfying when its equipment supports your intended use. The Revuelto’s engineering deserves attention, and an equally careful examination of the individual example turns that interest into a grounded decision.
